The senior finished the regular season with 793 yards (leads team) on 56 receptions (second on the team). The two were joined by wide receiver Jalen Wayne, placekicker Diego Guajardo, and Caullin Lacy on the second team with Wayne earning a 2023 Senior Bowl selection and setting a new school record with nine receiving touchdowns this season. He recorded five or more tackles five times including seven against Old Dominion and recorded six tackles against Troy. Banks recorded 10 pass breakups and five quarterback hurries, while also recovering a fumble.

He finished fifth on the team in tackles with 45 including six tackles for loss and a sack (against Southern Miss). He ranks nationally in interceptions (fourth) and interception per game (fifth) while leading the conference and scored a defensive touchdown against Louisiana Tech on one of his five interceptions on the season from his defensive back position. He was joined on the first team by Banks on the defensive side of the ball. He also recorded 17 receptions for 184 yards out of the backfield with a touchdown.
